The Elmhurst History Museum kicks off the Disco Demolition summer exhibit and everything ‘70s with a little disco…and a little rock ‘n’ roll! Bring the family and neighbors and have a blast:

  • Grammy-winning rock star and songwriter Jim Peterik  (co-writer of “Eye of the Tiger,” “Vehicle” and 18 top 10 hits) will perform two of his songs with the School of Rock house band;
  • The Shagadelics band brings the fun and the funk with disco gems;
  • Longtime Chicago White Sox organist Nancy Faust play ball park favorites;
  • Disco Demolition book co-author Dave Hoekstra and photographer Paul Natkin will sign books (available for purchase in museum gift shop);
  • DJ Oliver spins music from the era and guests can snap a pic in the photo booth;
  • Watch a pro roller skater demonstrate skating skills to disco music;
  • Tour the Disco Demolition exhibit inside the museum;
  • Enter to win door prizes including Museum memberships and concert tickets from The Loop 97.9FM
  • Ice cream from Brain Freeze available for sale.
 Limited seating will be available under the tent. BYO lawn chair for sitting on the lawn.
