March 24-31: SPRING BREAK SNOOPYPALOOZA
Let Snoopy add some fun to your Stay-Cation this Spring Break!

Don't miss out on all the fun to celebrate our Snoopy and the Red Baron exhibit. Most programs are FREE unless noted. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

March 24-31 Snoopypalooza Scavenger Hunt
Cost: FREE


Kick off Spring Break Snoopypalooza Week with a Snoopy Scavenger Hunt. Pick up a clue sheet at Elmhurst History Museum and use your detective skills to track down Snoopy at hidden locations in Elmhurst City Centre. Collect stamps at each location and return to the museum to claim your prize! All ages, children must be accompanied by an adult. Takes place during Museum hours: Tues.-Fri. and Sun., 1-5 p.m. Saturday 10 a.m-5 p.m. (closed Monday).

Tuesday, March 27: Drop In and Draw Snoopy
Time: 1:00-3:00 p.m. Cost: FREE


Visit the Snoopy and the Red Baron exhibit for artistic inspiration and learn to draw Snoopy and friends in our Education Center. New characters begin every 15-20 minutes. All ages accompanied by an adult. Drop in, no registration required.

Wednesday, March 28: Snoopy Storytime & Dance Party
Time: 10:00-11:00 a.m. Cost: FREE


Come to Elmhurst History Museum for a special before-hours program for preschoolers. Listen to Snoopy stories, explore the exhibit, meet Snoopy himself, and dance with him to classic Peanuts tunes. Age: Toddlers and up with adult. Drop in, no registration required.

Thursday, March 29: Science of Flight Drop-in STEM Party
Time: 2:00-3:00 p.m. Cost: FREE


Drop in at Elmhurst Public Library to learn about the science of flight and do hands-on science activities in this interactive program. Valid Elmhurst Public Library cardholders only. Pick up tickets at Kids’ Help Desk starting at 9:00 a.m. morning of program. All ages. Presented in conjunction with the Elmhurst History Museum’s Snoopy and the Red Baron exhibit as part of Spring Break Snoopypalooza.

Friday, March 30: Snoopy Craft Time
Time: 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Cost: $3 per participant (payable at the door)


Calling all Flying Aces! Drop in at Elmhurst History Museum’s Education Center to make your own aviator goggles and red scarf just like Snoopy wears when he faces the Red Baron. Check out the Snoopy and the Red Baron exhibit and pose for photos. All ages accompanied by an adult.

APRIL 2018 FAMILY PROGRAMS


Saturday, April 7: The Peanuts Movie with Snoopy Meet & Greet
Time: 9:30 a.m.  Cost: FREE 


View The Peanuts Movie (2015) on the big screen at York Theatre! Snoopy and his team take to the skies to pursue their arch-nemesis, while Charlie Brown begins his own epic quest back home to win the love of his life (1 hr. 28 min., rated G). After the movie (11:00 a.m.-noon), Snoopy will be in Elmhurst City Centre Plaza for photo ops and other fun activities. Co-sponsored by Elmhurst City Centre and Classic Cinemas in connection with the Elmhurst History Museum’s exhibit, Snoopy and the Red Baron.

Saturday, April 14: Family Cartooning Workshop
Time: 2:00-3:30 p.m. Cost: $10 per particpant


Professional cartoonist Mark Anderson of Andertoons presents a hands-on workshop for families (ages 6 and up with an accompanying adult). Participants will learn how cartoonists get inspiration, practice their drawing skills, and learn about visual and verbal writing to tell a story. No charge for accompanying adult.
