2017: The Year of the Monarch

2017 Year of the Monarch

The Elmhurst Garden Club declares 2017 The Year of the Monarch. In March 2016, Mayor Steve Morley signed the National Wildlife Foundation’s Mayors’ Monarch Pledge. The pledge is a commitment to educating the community about, and restoring the habitat of, the monarch butterfly. Join us throughout the year for educational presentations and events, including: The Plight of the Monarchs, Tues., March 21, 7 p.m., Elmhurst Public Library; and Monarch Fest (part of the Elmhurst Garden Walk and Faire), Sun., July 9, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Wilder Park, Elmhurst. For more information on these and other Year of the Monarch presentations and events, visit elmhurstgardenclub.org.
