Pat Miller is known as the "Queen of the Monarchs." As a Master Gardener, Master Naturalist and Plant Technician for the Morton Arboretum, and a Monarch Watch Conservation Specialist, Miller knows education and awareness are key issues in protecting this wonderful creature." Over the past 20 years, there has been an alarming decline in suitable breeding habitat for monarchs in the Midwestern cornbelt. Learn how you can help improve and increase the amount of habitat, and help restore monarch populations. Miller presents programs to schools, libraries, garden and environmental clubs throughout the Chicago area; and naturally, shares her love of monarchs with everyone she meets. This presentation is one in a series of events as part of the Elmhurst Garden Club's 2017 Year of the Monarch. Sponsored by the Elmhurst Garden Club, Elmhurst Cool Cities Coalition and Elmhurst Public Library.
