The Lincolns Present: The Genesis of the Gettysburg Address

Join President Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd Lincoln on the eve of his birthday to hear about the genesis of his most famous speech and a treasured American document, “The Gettysburg Address.” Brought to life by first-person history presenters Max and Donna Daniels, learn the context of the address and their time in the White House, participate in a Q&A session, and take a photo with the beloved President and First Lady in the “Freedom: A History of US” exhibit. Participating children can test their 19th-century handwriting skills using a steel-tipped pen and ink. All ages welcome!
