The Power of Children: Making a Difference--extended through October 20, 2019

Experience the extraordinary stories of three children—Anne Frank, Ruby Bridges and Ryan White—who used the power of words and actions to make a positive difference in the world.  Visitors will get to know each child's story through thought-provoking audiovisual presentations, original artifacts, and hands-on interactives. Learn about the secret annex where Anne Frank and her family spent two years in hiding; the classroom in which Ruby Bridges spent an entire school year alone with her teacher; and Ryan White's bedroom, filled with his treasured belongings.  Exhibit material is serious in nature and recommended for children ages 8+ with their families and school groups. “The Power of Children: Making a Difference“ is organized by the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and made possible by NEH on the Road, a special initiative of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Sponsored locally by Elmhurst Premier Childcare.

Location: Elmhurst History Museum, 120 E. Park Ave., Elmhurst

Hours: Sun., Tues.-Fri .1-5 p.m.; Sat. 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
