In 2010, after an extensive restoration, the Elmhurst History Museum reopened the historic Churchville Schoolhouse—one of the last remaining one-room schoolhouses in Illinois that dates to circa 1850 and is listed on the National Register of History Places. Over the past decade, the Schoolhouse has provided a memorable living history experience for hundreds of children and breathed new life into this significant DuPage County landmark. To commemorate the 10-year anniversary and the community-based effort that helped to preserve this local treasure, join us for an online pre-recorded video presentation sharing the story of the Churchville Schoolhouse. Program will be available through November 30, 2020.
