In May of 1969, just before the first man landed on the moon, Snoopy soared through space with NASA’s Apollo 10 mission launching the beagle’s debut as a U.S. space program ambassador. Learn about the role Peanuts characters played in NASA’s Manned Flight Awareness safety program, and explore a 1969 series of NASA-themed comic strips, photographs, video footage, and Peanuts collectibles. Find out about astronauts from the Chicago area including Apollo 10 lunar module pilot Eugene Cernan. A touring exhibit organized by the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center, Santa Rosa, CA.
