NEW EXHIBIT OPENING FEB. 4 -JUNE 5, 2022
People of the Prairie: 12,000 Years in DuPage County
With all of today’s modern conveniences, it’s hard to imagine what life may have been like 12,000 years ago in the DuPage area. Our next exhibit unravels clues about the Native people who called this area home before Illinois existed and reveals how they carved out an existence on the remote prairies of the region. Using an archeological lens and many fascinating artifacts, visitors will learn about how these early inhabitants lived, what they ate, and how they interacted with their neighbors. Featured displays will include objects from archaeological sites in northeastern Illinois including tools, arrowheads, pottery and more. Sponsored by Feze Roofing.
