Elmhurst Museum Day is back! Join in a celebration of the important value of museums to our community. Jump on board the free trolley to visit two Elmhurst museums for free admission, family-friendly activities, tours, refreshments, and more.
At the Elmhurst History Museum: Visit EHM for a special collaboration of Native American culture!
- View the People of the Prairie exhibit inside the museum and participate in activities outdoors under the tent including a land acknowledgement ceremony plus Native music, dance, craft vendors and more.
- Meet guests from Midwest SOARRING Foundation who will share their vibrant culture through Native storytelling, drumming, dancing and flute music.
- Get to know the Isle a la Cache Museum by stopping by their early 18th-century fur trader station where kids can become a Voyageur for a Day.
- Make a beaded necklace (while supplies last).
At the Elmhurst Art Museum: Participate in two hands-on art activities and view the main exhibits Houses of Tomorrow: Solar Homes from Keck to Today and Jan Tichy: Reflectance. The temporary exhibit, Diversity of Thought, will also be on view featuring work by local teens from the creative.unity mentorship program who will be present for an artist talk.
