Churchville Schoolhouse Fall Open House
Time: 11 a.m.–2 p.m.

School is back in session at the historic Churchville Schoolhouse, one of the oldest structures in DuPage County (c. 1846) and one of the few remaining one-room schoolhouses in Illinois located on its original site. This annual fall festival includes interactive class inside the Civil War-era Schoolhouse with the schoolmarm, old-fashioned games, live music by the Battlefield Balladeers, and vintage crafts. The Conrad Fisher Singers from Conrad Fisher Elementary School in Elmhurst perform folk songs from American history at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Learn folk dances like the Virginia Reel and the Circassian Circle dance led by the schoolmarm. Light refreshments provided. Rain or shine. Churchville Schoolhouse is a National Register of Historic Places site owned by the City of Elmhurst and managed by Elmhurst History Museum.
